Electric Pocket Bikes
Pocket bikes were first popularized in Europe as specialized racing
motorbikes. Traffic laws vary by state, but for the most part minibikes
are illegal for
use on public roadways since most do not carry the necessary equipment
(and often size requirements) to be street legal. The typical rider of
these bikes are 13 year old boys who are the right size and mental
maturity for the toy. In the past recent years, gas-powered pocket
bikes have become so popular that organized competition called Mini GP
Racing are springing up all over the country.
Razor Mini Electric Pocket Rocket
The most popular mini electric pocket rocket bike is made by Razor. In fact, their mini bike is called the Pocket Rocket. Basically, it is a small version of a real street bike, in basic general looks and design. This electric bike can reach the speeds of 15 mph and carries up to 170 pounds. It can operate up to 30 minutes in a single charge. Since it is driven by an electric motor, the Razor Mini Electric Pocket Rocket is quiet. A lot quieter than their gas-powered counterpart. Much slower, too, but that's beside the point.

- Open Question: What's wrong with my mini pocket bike?!?
I have an 2-stroke X-1 mini pocket bike that ran great until i left it sitting in the garage to long.. I have the battery charger for it, just ordered a brand new battery online. I haven't let the battery sit and charge for more than a couple hours at a time(maybe it needs to fully charge?) before i try to get it started. i will let it sit and charge all day tomorrow since i've ran all out of ideas. In the past couple of days i have changed the fuel lines(there are 2 fuel lines) they were stiff and cracking. I have also changed the spark plug and taken out the carburetor, took it apart, and cleaned it with carb cleaner. I dont think its getting enough fuel to it or something, when i try to turn it on it kind of sounds like it turns over but as soon as i let off the break or the gas it completely stops. What's my next move? - 47 hours ago
- Open Question: I lost my pocket bike key, help?
I lost the key to my pocket bike and can't find it. I might go to the lock smith but i was wondering if I could start it without the key. Also i'm not that strong and its hard for me to pull to start the pocket bike and always have to lure my dad into starting it up for me. Is there anyway I can start it without pulling it? Like adding something that when just put the key in (if I find it or get one made) it starts. Also is there anyway I can make the pull easier? The key? I put it in the basement since it was winter and now I wanted to take it out and can't find the key. :( - 2 days ago
