Sephiroth Cosplay Costume: Be the Ultimate Final Fantasy Bad Boy

Sephiroth first appeared as the main villain in the 1997 video game, Final Fantasy VII. As the final boss, he had to be defeated to end the game.

Interestingly enough, Sephiroth had something in common with the main character, Cloud Strife, in that they were both former members of SOLDIER, an elite army owned and run by the weapons manufacturer Shinra Company. SOLDIER members were "produced" to have superior battle skills. Sephiroth was the strongest of them all.

And he was insane, too. In the village of Nibelheim, after discovering that he was an experimental SOLDIER enhanced wiith the Jenova cells, Sephiroth went into rage, destroyed the village, and killed many. It was only Cloud who stopped him.

He thought of himself as superior to humans. So he wanted to be a god. In order to do so, he needed to merge with Lifestream, the name for the planet's life force. His success would be catastrophic to inhabitants of the planet, prompting the hero Cloud Strife and the evil mega corporation, Shinra, to stop him the best they can.

Before the onset of the movie, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Sephiroth invented the disease Geostigma. The impact of this disease set the stage for the movie's storyline.

The basic look of a Sephiroth cosplay costume includes long flowing silver hair and dark overcoat. He wields a 6-foot long katana (sword) called the Masamune. He is sometimes called as the one-winged angel. But many of his pictures seldom show his one wing.
